Our client, a company operating in the defense industry, has entrusted us with the selection of an Export Control Manager.

💡 Role and responsabilities
The Export Control Manager provides assistance and support to the company to ensure full compliance of business activities with national and international export/import regulations concerning military and dual-use items (e.g., Law 185/91, ITAR, EAR, BAFA, DGA).
He/she liaises with the Company Export Control Manager.
The position reports to the General Counsel, who sets the priorities for the Legal Affairs and Compliance Office.
Requisiti:
🔍 Requirements:
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Law or Economics
- handling license applications, supporting internal departments, and managing relations with regulatory authorities (Ministry of Defence, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Internal Affairs - Prefecture Office and Customs Agency)
- supervision of the expiry date of licences issued
- maintenance of the Intra-Community Transfers Register and the Intangible Assets Register
- conducts compliance checks to ensure alignment of transmitted data with the applicable UAMA license, authorized recipients and prevailing regulatory requirements
- conducts compliance checks to files/data sent against the applicable and necessary UAMA license to the recipients authorized therein and in accordance with the applicable regulations
- ensures the accuracy, compliance, and continuous maintenance of the company's export control procedures, serving as the designated point of contact and operational manager for all export control processes
- keeps the company informed and up to date with new laws and regulations on the import/export of military and dual-use items
- execution of Export Control Manager responsibilities as defined by the company’s internal policies and procedures (export control procedure, intangible transfer of armament material via electronic platforms)
- excellent knowledge of the English language
